This last couple weeks has been great.  I went home this last weekend and had so much fun.  I had a huge party at my shop.  It was so awesome.  I wish weekends would last forever, and money grew on trees!  Or I guess winning the lottery would work too.

It doesn't seem like a whole year ago was when the attack of September 11 was.  I can remember it like yesterday, as I probably always will.  When I was driving into school I was listening to my CD player so I didn't hear any reports on the radio.  I called home for some reason and I talked to my dad.  He said that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center.  I never really thought much of it because I thought it was probably just an accident and that it was just a small plane.  When I got to school, I was in my auto class when they said another one crashed into it.  Then we went to the library and watched the TV for a few minutes.  I couldn't believe what I saw.  That day I had a dentist appointment.  I remember that everyone was talking about it there.  That night I had to go to work.  I worked at a full-service gas station.  Everyone was hearing that gas prices were going to skyrocket, so everyone wanted to fill up with gas.  Our gas pumps were full from 4:00 when I got there until 9:00 when we closed.  It was the busiest day ever at work and I couldn't talk very good because my mouth had been numbed with Novocain.  I still remember who I worked with that night and everything about it.  That night I went home and I watched TV until I fell asleep, watching the highlights.  September 11, 2001 may be the most memorable day of my life.

Today I checked out the other class that blogs at Florida State University.  I really liked how everyone in the class puts there entries all on the same page.  I think that it would be kind of handy to get to read all of your classmates entries on the same page without having to go to their own personal pages.  I like how the teacher has put all of the class information on the same page too.  I also liked the program or website that they used.  It is called cyberdash.

Alden's article on blogs was very interesting.  This article tells you about blogs, how they have grown and what they are.  It tells that blogging has many benefits to the new user.  His article also tells of many different types of blogs, and gives a list of them so you can check them out. I checked out some of them and decided that I really liked the setup of the blog Honeyguide.  It is really neat because it has all kinds of different links coming from it.

Dvoraks article I really had to disagree with.  He says how people are getting into blogging for all the wrong reasons, and only experienced writers should be able to blog.  I believe this is wrong and anyone should be able to blog.  After all, the more people write the more experience they get!

Manjoo's article is the first reading that I actually enjoyed.  In the article he states that blogging is not new.  He stated that a few people started them and they just kept growing until now there is an estimated half million weblogs.  He also states that there are many different types of weblogs.  I think he states an opinion indirectly by telling you what negative things other people have said about weblogs.  He tells that Dvorak stated that people were getting into weblogs for all of the wrong reasons.  He called them "wannage writers that were looking for ego gratification."  Think this is wrong and I agree with what Williams stated;  "Yeah, I think it would be a great thing.  It's not that you want to read them.  But people have the desire to express themselves, and I think it's tremendously powerful activity.  If you write every day, your writing improves, your thinking improves."
